ACTIVITIES OF THE MONTH JULY

Due to prevailing situation of pandemic ,This year it is becoming very difficult for both buyers and sellers of sacrificial animals ,however in these circumstances whenever a buyer approaches any of the district sheep husbandry organisations , they are being helped in every way possible to get a sacrificial animal .
1.District Sheep Husbandry Organisation(s)Srinagar/Kupwara/Baramulla/Shopian/Pulwama
Inspection of places designated for sale of sacrificial animals continued in various districts. At such places assessment of health of animals on sale was performed by VASs designated by the respective district officers.There was emphasis on maintaining hygiene and proper social distancing at such market places to prevent COVID-19 spread.
2.In District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Kupwara as reported sanctioning of KCC among breeders continue.
3.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland Pastures and plains continue in every district.
All activities are being done while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

1.District Sheep Husbandry Organisation(s)Bandipora/Shopian/Baramulla/Kulgam/Pulwama/Ganderbal/Kupwara:
Inspection of places designated for sale of sacrificial animals continued in various districts. 3.Kupwara: 6 Rams of SBF Poshnar were dispatched from Highland Pasture to Hardushiva for sale.
4.Ganderbal: Treatment of local livestock was performed by concerned officials at SDB Lar.
5.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland Pastures and plains continue in every district.

1.District Sheep Husbandry Organisation(s) Kupwara/Bandipora/Kulgam/Baramulla/Pulwama/Ganderbal:
*Inspection of sites meant for sale and purchase of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eid ul Azha was done by various District Sheep Husbandry Organisations besides health of livestock for sale was assessed at such places by the concerned officials. At various places where such arrangements were made; advice on maintaining social distancing and other measures to be adopted to prevent COVID-19 spread was also provided. Many District Sheep Husbandry Organisations also distributed masks and sanitisers among animal sellers and buyers to bolster such hygienic measures.
2.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland Pastures and plains continue in every district.

1.On Eve of Eid ul Azha,sale of sacrificial animals is underway in different parts of kashmir valley ,In this regard District sheep husbandry organisations are monitoring the treatment and well-being of these animals at various sale centres .
2.District Sheep Husbandry organisation, Kupwara has identified a public park kupwara where sacrificial animals from local breeders shall be available for sale to the general public .
3.District sheep husbandry officer, Bandipora inspected various sale centres of sacrificial animals the district.
4.Screening of blood samples of livestock was carried out by Disease investigation laboratory at Shopian.
5.Routine activities continued at all summer camps
6.Tele-medicine services are being provided in every district.
All activities are being carried out while strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

 

21/22/23 & 24-07-2020

1.Kisan Pakhwada was concluded on 21 july 2020,in this regard various programmes of awareness and kisan melas were conducted almost by every district sheep husbandry organisation. Some of which that were shared with us are
* District Sheep Husbandry organisation Shopian registered various breeders under KCC scheme.
* District sheep husbandry office kupwara celebrated kisan mela at district headquarters kupwara,where KCC sanction letters were distributed among sheep breeders
* District sheep husbandry organisation Ganderbal conducted awareness camps regarding kcc scheme at Lar,Nuner, Gratbal Haripora and Kangan. 73 no. Of kcc cases on 21 and 22 july were submitted to lead bank in Ganderbal.
2.Screening of blood samples was conducted at DIL Shirmaal in district Shopian.
3.Examination and physical verification of GB Rams at HLP Gumri ,HLP Magandub,HLP Shadimarg,HLP Gangbal, and HLP Veshensir, Of District Ganderbal.
4.Sanction of KCC scheme among sheep breeders in district Kupwara continued on 24th of July.
5.Prophylactic treatment continued at highland pastures in every district.
6.Counselling and advice to nomads with regard to to COVID-19 was given at Various summer camps established in different Behaks.
7.Tele-medicine services are being provided on daily basis by the concerned sheep husbandry officials.
8.Treatment of sacrificial animals and other livestock present in plains is being carried out by the concerned officials of district sheep husbandry organisations across the valley.
All the activities are being carried out while strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

1.The Kisan Pakhwada has entered on its last stage and accordingly various awareness camps as well as Kisan Melas were conducted today by Various District Sheep Husbandry organisations with other line Departments.
Reports of activities shared with us are as under.
*Kupwara/Ganderbal/Shopian:
-Conducting of awareness programmes under Kisan Pakhwada at Handwara of Kupwara District and Lar,Tulmulla,Nuner,Gratbal,Haripora, Kangan areas of Ganderbal District..Registration of sheep breeders & sanctioning of loan under KCC scheme continued.
-Distribution of pamphlets regarding govt schemes/management of Livestock at HLPs amongst sheep breeders.
2.Routine activities at highland pastures continued in all districts.
3.Advisory regarding management of Qurbani Animals and treatment of ailing animals at plains continued as routine.
All activities are being done while strictly adhering to covid guidelines.

1.The Kisan Pakhwada event has entered into its 12th day today and accordingly various District Sheep Husbandry organisations participated in different day-long respective events as received under
*Pulwama: 255 number of sheep breeders were registered under KCC scheme at an event in Tral.
*Ganderbal: Organization conducted Various awareness camps at Lar,Gratbal,Nunner,Naranag and Kangan. Besides 81 cases under KCC scheme were submitted to concerned lead bank .
*Kupwara: Sanctioning of cases of KCC scheme continued amongst different sheep breeders. Besides various awareness camps were conducted regarding KCC scheme at different areas of the Organization.
*Budgam: A mega event of Kisan Pakhwada was conducted at Chak-e-Kawoosa Narbal. The event was inaugurated by Director Agriculture, Mr.Syed Indrabi in presence of District Sheep Husbandry Officer Budgam Dr.Basharat Amin Khuthu. A Small Sheep Show was also organized by the department wherein number of sheep breeders participated. Apart from this 42 breeders registered for KCC scheme.
2.Tele- medicine and other routine activities continued in all district organizations of the valley.

1.Kisan Pakhwada entered its 11th day today, in this regard various programmes were conducted across the valley. District sheep husbandry organisations, in collaboration with other participating departments; is organising interactions, awareness camps, demonstrations regarding various government schemes and activities.
2.Activities carried out by different District Sheep hubsandry Organisations in connection with Kisan Pakhwada which were shared with us today are as under,
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara organised Kisan Pakhwada at Wawoora area of Kupwara district where awareness regarding KCC scheme was provided to sheep breeders.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Shopian registered various breeders for KCC scheme across district.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Srinagar took part in a Kisan Mela , where they installed a stall where sheep breeders were provided awareness about various departmental schemes .
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal took part in Kisan Pakhwada at Dak Bunglow, Kangan; where Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kangan inaugurated the event. On spot registration of sheep breeders for KCC scheme and distribution of sanction letters to already registered breeders was doe at the event.

1.The on going programme of “Kisan Pakhwada”, or the Farmers’ Fortnight completed two thirds of its time line and entered its 10th day today. Various district sheep husbandry organisations participated in the said programme. Various district organisations that shared their activities related to the program with us are:
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal held awareness camps at Madare Meharban stadium, Ganderbal which was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner . On spot registration of farmers for KCC was done at the camp .
* At District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Bandipora a massive kisan mela was inaugurated by Deputy commissioner Bandipora in Tehsil Sumbal where in sheep husbandry organisation Bandipora had installed a stall . District sheep husbandry officer handed over KCC sanction letters to sheep farmers at kisan mela at Sumbal.
* At district sheep husbandry organisation Shopian , registration of breeders under KCC continued at various blocks .
* At District Sheep Husbandry organisation Baramulla awareness camps were held at Sultanpora, Delina, Brandub, Shitloo, Dangerpora and Sopore. Door to door awareness programmes were also held.
* At District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara sanctioning of KCC scheme was done for various breeders.
2.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland Pastures and plains continue in every district.

1.Kissan Pakhwada entered its 9th day today,In this regard various District sheep husbandry organisations conducted collaborative awareness programmes among sheep and Goat breeders regarding various departmental schemes while main emphasis being on the KCC Scheme . Reports from different districts regarding organising of Kisan Pakhwada which were shared with us today are:
*District Sheep Husbandry organisation Bandipora was part of a collaborative awareness camp in connection with the said program today ,where DDC, Bandipora inspected the stall put up by the concerned District Sheep Husbandry Organisation. District Sheep Husbandry Officer Bandipora also distributed KCC sanction letters to some sheep breeders .
*District Sheep Husbandry organisation Shopian registration of KCC scheme continued among breeders .
*District Sheep Husbandry organisation Ganderbal registered various breeders for KCC at Nuner, Gratbal and Kangan a total of 57 KCC cases were submitted to lead banks.
*District Sheep Husbandry organisation Baramulla held awareness camps at Sangrama, Singhpora, Ogmoona, Boniyar, Zanigeer, Patan, Kachwa, and Sharakwara. besides Door-to-door distillation of publicity materials was done.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara where an interaction with breeders at Badibehak in connection with Kisan Pakhwada. Also, awareness camps were held at Ramhall.
*At Sheep Breeding Farm Zawoora: ecto-parasiticidal dipping of livestock was done under the supervision of the concerned staff.
*Ganderbal: the concerned District Sheep Husbandry Officer visited and inspected newly constructed departmental buildings at Naranag.
*Kupwara: the concerned District Sheep Husbandry Officer inspected various FACs of Highland pastures of Bangus Valley Highland Pasture.
2.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland Pastures and plains continue in every district.

1.Kisan Pakhwada is being conducted in every district. Activities under which included collaborative awareness camps at various locations where information about the KCC Scheme and other government schemes of the department was provided. Besides registration of Sheep farmers under KCC continues at various levels in each district. The reports such of activities being conducted by district organisations which were shared with us are;
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Baramulla that held awareness camps at Gantamulla ,Delina, Mirgund, Hamray,and Lagama uri. On spot registration of Sheep/Goat farmers for KCC scheme was done at all Block offices.
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara that held awareness camps regarding KCC and other departmental Schemes at different block offices.
* District Sheep husbandry organisation Budgam that held awareness camps notably at Gondipora , Lanilab, Brenwar, Shamsabad, Mamgund, chewdara, Ompora, Futlipora, Pethkoot, Aarath, Diwlatabad, pohroo, Waterhail, Raithan,and Shogpora.
* District sheep husbandry organisation, Shopian that held awareness camps at different blocks and registration of KCC Scheme among breeders was done at large scale.
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Pulwama that held various awareness camps, and established a stall at mega function of kissan pakhwada at district level.
* District Sheep husbandry organisation, Bandipora held awareness camps regarding KCC scheme at various panchayats and other blocks . Awareness camps were held at Sodunara and Hajin.
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal held awareness camps at various block levels and panchayats , ample literature regarding schemes was distributed . Awareness camps were held at Lar, Nuner, Gratbal, and Kangan.
* District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Anantnag held awareness camps at all blocks and various panchayats as well. Literature regarding govt schemes was distributed among sheep breeders. Door to Door registration of KCC schemes among sheep breeders was also done in the district.

1.Kissan Pakhwada entered its 5th day today. Various District Sheep Husbandry Organisations held awareness camps where sheep breeders were briefed about KCC Scheme and other departmental schemes besides, registration of sheep breeders under KCC Scheme was also done.
*District organisations that shared their activities related to the program with us today are;
*District sheep husbandry organisation, Bandipora that organised a “100% saturation” camp at Naidkhai, Bandipora.
*District sheep husbandry organisation, Baramulla, that organised an awareness interaction at Sopore where the concerned DSHO addressed Sheep and Goat farmers. Also, an awareness camp about KCC was organised by the Organisation at SDB Dangiwacha. In addition to this the organisation conducted door to door distribution of fliers advertising the KCC Scheme.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Shopian.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Anantnag, where door to door awareness drive was conducted by the organisation in addition to various awareness camps.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Budgam that held collaborative awareness programs at 19 Panchayats. Notably; Chill-Brass, Lanoora, Lassipora, Nowpora, Charigun, Putibagh, Soibough, Poshkar and Hanjigraoo.

1.Kissan Pakhwada entered its 4th day today. Various District Sheep Husbandry Organisations held awareness camps where popularisation of KCC Scheme, besides information about various Departmental Schemes and activities were provided to Sheep and Goat Farmers. In addition to this, registration for KCC and submission of cases to Lead Banks continued in all districts.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisations that shared their activities regarding the said programme with us are:
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Budgam collaborative camps were hosted in various panchayats namely Gampora , Khansahib, Bundgam, Lachmanpora,,Palpora, Arigam, Dassan and NasrulaporaChattergam.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara that held an awareness camp in SDB Kralpora.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Shopian, where the event was inaugurated by DDC Shopian, besides registration for KCC of Sheep farmers and on spot distribution of Kisan Credit Cards was done .
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Bandipora, where Sheep and wool development organisation Gurez organised the event in village Kanzalwan.

1.Kissan Pakhwada entered it's 3rd day today. Various District Sheep Husbandry Organisations provided awareness to sheep breeders about the KCC Scheme and about various government Schemes of the department by one on one interactions and distribution of publicity material. Various District Sheep Husbandry organisations that shared their activities related to the program with us today are:
*District Sheep Husbandry organisation KULGAM, that established a stall at Qaimoh yesterday.(day 2nd of the Pakhwada), besides forwarding 100+ KCC forms to lead Bank Kulgam today
*District Sheep Husbandry organisations BARAMULLA where door to door awareness programs were organised at SDBs Baramulla, Rafiabad, Rohama and Sopore.
*DSHO BANDIPORA that in Gurez organised awareness camps at Kandiyal, Badwan and Wanpora.
*DSHO BUDGAM, registered various Sheep and Goat breeders at SDBs Sholipora, Ompora, Kawoosa, Raithan, Kultreh, Chadoora, Khag, Panzoo, Waterhail, Panzan, Nagam,and Gondipora
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, SHOPIAN made preparations for organising a camp at Keller.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, KUPWARA.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, GANDERBAL where interaction with famers of Benhama was done by the concerned District officer.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, ANANTNAG.
2.Awareness about KCC Scheme among sheep breeders and farmers is being provided by making use of various media platforms, various district Organisations have made custom fliers for wide circulation via print and social media.
3.KUPWARA: it was reported that a 100 ewe unit was established today in the district under JKEDI.
4.Routine Husbandry activities at Highland pastures and plains continue in every district.

1.The ongoing Kissan Pakhwada entered its 2nd day today; wherein awareness among farmers related to KCC Scheme, technological tools for efficient sheep farming, departmental schemes and activities were provided.
Activities related to the program were shared with us by:

*District Sheep Husbandry organisation Bandipora that held a joint awareness camp with agriculture and other allied departments at Aloosa.
*District Sheep Husbandry Organization Kupwara.

*District Sheep Husbandry organisation, Budgam that held an awareness camp at Yarikah near Khansahib.
2.Print media ,electronic media and Social media platforms like whatsapp are being used for spreading awareness about the KCC and various other Departmental Schemes by various districts.

1.Kissan Pakhwada was inaugurated today in different districts, District Sheep Husbandry organisations of all districts in this connection;
-made farmers aware of KCC scheme besides registering them,
-provided awareness about departmental activities by interactive meetings
-distributed literature related to Govt schemes & scientific Husbandry practices,
-displayed exceptional animals and implements for more efficient sheep farming.
Various districts that shared their activities with us related to kissan Pakhwada programme today are;
District Ganderbal, District Kupwara, District Kulgam, District Baramulla and District Bandipora.
2.Routine activities at Summer camps established at Highland pastures by all District sheep husbandry organisations continue.
3.Dosing ,treatment , Vaccination and other routine activities of department for sacrificial animals on eve of Eid-ul-Azha and other livestock in plains continue by the concerned officials of Sheep husbandry department.
All activities are being done while strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

1.All district organizations are preparing for Kissan Pakhwada programme which shall commence from tomorrow.
2.Routine husbandry activities at summer camps established at highland pastures continue in every district.
3.Ectoparasiticidal dipping of migrated flocks was performed at various summer camps at different highland pastures.
4.Ground work for 100 percent coverage of sheep and goat farmers under KCC continues
5.Bandipora: Reports from a remote Summer camp at Salnie Behak reached us, where officials lead by VAS identified all Govt Rams, assessed their health, treated ailing livestock and provided assistance to stationed breeders with their livestock.
6.Routine activities for livestock in plains which have not migrated to HLPs are being performed by concerned officals
Every activity is being done while strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

1.Routine Husbandry activities, counseling, interactions with bakerwals and chopans continue at summer camps established on Highland pastures. Reports from summer camps that could reach us on 3rd and 4th July are as under,

Summer camp at Sumpanzal Rafiabad by District Baramulla. Summer camp at linenmarg by district Baramulla. Summer camp at saidando by district Kulgam. Summer camp at kungwattan by district kulgam. Summer camp at Hakwas by district kulgam.
Summer camp at Nassu/Badibehak by district kulgam. Summer camp at zajimarg by district kulgam. Summer camp at sekiwas by district kulgam. Summer camp at Malwan top by district kulgam. Summer camp at Hapatnad by district kulgam.

2.Awareness among sheep farmers is being provided in every district for the successful conduct of the impending Kissan Pakhwada.
3.Ground work for complete coverage of sheep farmers under KCC scheme continues in every district.
4.Routine activities for livestock in plains which has not migrated to highland pastures,is being performed by concerned officials.
