Advertisements regarding establishment of sheep units under different Govt. schemes were advertised by District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Srinagar and District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal in leading dailies today .
District Sheep husbandry Organisation, Pulwama
•Celebration of Block Diwas programme; many dignitaries visited the stall of sheep husbandry department ,they were appraised about various schemes and other departmental activities,Other routine activities of treatment continued.

•Worthy District Magistrate visited Keegam block in connection with block diwas , District sheep husbandry officer Shopian issued certificates at panchayat halqa Chitragam during on going block diwas programme, SDO Shopian addressed participants at panchayat halqa Keegam during block diwas and lab officer Shopian ,VAS Keegam, VAS Kellar and other VAS's represented sheep husbandry department at various Panchayat halqas during block diwas programme.

•Verification of High Altitude Disease Investigation Laboratory at Sonamarg by joint Director Planning along with District sheep husbandry officer Ganderbal, DSHO also visited mini fodder station Haknar, SEC Ganiwan and SEC Haripora, laison officers participated in jan Abhiyan /Awami Muhim in various panchayat halqas of district Ganderbal. •Various activities done today are ,in connection with Block diwas programme kits were distributed at GDC Khansahib, BHSS Budgam, Chadoora ,Chrarisharief, and at Aripanthan literature related to govt schemes was distributed among visitors on ewe of block diwas programme.

SBF Khimber, Fodder station Wanihama, and Fodder Station Zakura:
•Dy.Director Feed & Fodder visited fodder stations Zakura, and Wanihama besides visiting SBF Khimber. The harvesting at Zakura is likely to be started shortly as reported & inspection of the ongoing Construction works at Khimber was also done The officer discussed the land development activities which are to be undertaken shortly for fodder cultivation with concerned farm officer.

•Breeding program of livestock at SBF Poshnar was inspected by the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kupwara.

•A Stall was put up in connection with Block Diwas celebration at town hall Pulwama by the organisation.
•Treatment for partial blindness and injury to private a Ram was attended to by Laboratory officer and VAS Shadimarg.

•Routine healthcare check up livestock, treatment, vaccination and deworming of livestock continues.
•Vaccination drive under NADC continues in the district.
•As reported 76 animals were treated, 643 animals were vaccinated,632 dewormings ,484 dipping/anti mange treatments were provided and 02 government Rams were treated /verified today by the organisation.

•As reported a record breaking 981 Quintals of hay was produced at the Farm this year, despite the paucity of rains.

•Treatment of local livestock flocks was carried out at Gomboora and Palmaidan in the district.
•Inspection of local livestock was done at Budgam.
•A team despatched by Disease Investigation Laboratory, Nowshera visited Kulbugh.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Baramulla:
•Routine treatment, dosing and vaccination of government and private livestock was done at various Blocks of district Baramulla.
•There was active participation of officers/officials in Jan Abhiyan Muhim at Gramasabhas and Panchayat Halqas of the district.
•District Sheep Husbandry Officer visited and inspected Block Headquarters at Watergam Hadipira,. The officer also inspected a new construction site of a multi-facility centre at Chizhama block Rohama.
Ranbirpora, Latroo and Ganeshpora:
•The Deputy Director Feed and Fodder, Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir visited fodder farms at Ranbirpora, Latroo and Ganeshpora to take stock of Kharif crop at these places which was promising. While inspecting these places some trees at Ganeshpora and Latroo were Earmarked to be proposed for public auction.
•Modalities of land development that would be taken up once harvest is done were also discussed.

District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Pulwama:
•Block Diwas was organised by the district organisation at Awantipora, Shadimarg-Newa, Aripal, Lassipora and Dadasara. Notably the celebrations were graced by the presence of Sh. Rohit Kansal,IAS and DDC Pulwama at Awantipora. During the celebrations various government schemes were popularised by interactions, demonstration and distribution of literature.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Srinagar:
•At district headquarters Block Diwas was celebrated where in among others dignitaries the worthy Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir distributed KCC applications among the eligible sheep rearers.
•The worthy District Development Commissioner Srinagar oversaw the proceedings of yom-e-Block/Block Diwas at Harwan where among others District Sheep husbandry Officer, Srinagar was in attendance.

•Worthy Director Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir visited SBF Poshnar and took stock of the tupping underway at the farm, in this regard various technical instructionse were discussed with VASs of the farm to make the breeding program a success. The worthy Director, also inspected the farm and took note of grievances that were brought forth to him.

•The oganisation in compliance to its action plan 2020-21 co-organised a Sheep Farmers’ Meet with Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Putushahi, Bandipore today.
•Mass vaccination drive against Sheep pox was launched at Gamroo village wherein about 600 animals were vaccinated against Sheep Pox.

•Under the program Jan Abhiyan KCC forms were distributed among sheep farmers at Chadoora.another Jan Abhiyan was held at Kultreh, interactions were held with local breeders at Raithan and Khansahib. the concerned District Sheep Husbandry Officer himself interacted with the breeders apart from other officers/Officials. in addition to all this, applications for income generating schemes were distributed at Kawoosa.

•Various activities done today are, VAS Sangam and Khanmoh conducted random body weight measurement of Government rams in the field ,VAS Zakura and Brane participated in Jan Abhiyan programme. Machine shearing operations and therapeutic interventions continued in all parts of the district as well as at sheep clinic Nowshera.

•Various activities done today are,An innovative initiative was taken up in the district wherein fumigation of sheep sheds belonging to private breeders was done ,the drive was started from Ashtangoo village of sheep development block Aloosa on trial basis ,the organisation is looking forward to make it a routine practice covering all progressive sheep farmers.

• Officials of the organisation attended Biodiversity Management Committee meetings held at various Panchayat Halqas of the district.
• 150 sheep unit cases under Scheme IDSRR was recommended to Cluster Head (Sponsoring Bank) by the organisation.
• Routine husbandry and clinical activities continue at various Summer camps of the district at various Highland Pastures.

• Officials of the organisation attended various Biodiversity Management Committee meetings held in district.

District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Kulgam:
• Officials of the organisation attended Biodiversity Management Committee meetings held at Devsar, D.H.Pora and Qaimoh.
• Vaccination against Sheep pox was 350 animals at various summer camps of the district at various HLPs
• As reported the organisation provided treatment to 37 ailing animals, performed 359 dewormings, 72 Dippings, and 47 foot-baths to livestock as part of routine activities besides treating/verifying 10 government breeding Rams.
All the Activities are being performed while adhereng to COVID-19 guidelines of the government.

Various district sheep husbandry organisations which have shared their activities with us today are as under ;
District sheep husbandry organisation Ganderbal various activities done today are ,
awareness cum KCC registration of sheep farmers at sheep development block Lar,Nunner,Haripora,Tulmulla,Gratbal and Kangan. Routine activities were carried out at all summer camps in highland pastures.
District sheep husbandry organisation Srinagar activities done today are as ,
Activities of highland pasture Mengandoub camp were monitored,
providing of therapeutic interventions at highland pastures Burzawas and sheep clinic nowshera.
District sheep husbandry organisation kulgam
Activities done today are as, 59 ailing animals were treated,433 dewormings ,201 dipping ,35 footpaths ,and 14 govt rams were verified/treated,apart from this 1030 sheep pox vaccinations were done.
District sheep husbandry organisation Kupwara activities done today are as follows,
Vaccination drive against sheep pox at various behaks of district.
sponsored around 200 cases of IDSRR sheep units,
routine activities at highland pastures of the district .

District sheep husbandry organisation, Kupwara various activities done today are,
1)Visit of District Sheep Husbandry officer to Highland pasture badi behak, there, the officer discussed various pivotal govt schemes of department with the breeders present there.
2)The concerned officer distributed IDSRR forms among breeders and also apprised them about sheep units and other subsidy backed schemes
3)Few goat flocks that had developed pneumonia like symptoms due to recent rains were treated at highland pasture badibehak.
District sheep husbandry organisation Ganderbal various activities done today are as, 1) 1)Examination of identified elite rams for purchase was done by the district sheep husbandry officer Ganderbal. 2)District sheep husbandry officer also inspected block offices Lar, Gratbal and Tulmulla.
3)Routine activities were carried out at different highland pastures in the district.
Sheep and wool development office Handwara various activities done today are as ,
1)Sheep pox vaccination was carried out at highland pasture Bangus wherein 600 sheep were immunised under this drive.
2)148 IDSRR /EDEG applications were received and forwarded by the concerned office.
District sheep husbandry organisation Anantnag,
1)Routine activities were conducted at highland pastures like vaccination, deworming,footbath and other treatments.
District sheep Husbandry organisation Baramulla
1)Routine activities of treatment continued at all Highland pastures including sheep pox vaccination that is being done at different Summer camps of various highland pastures.
Sheep and Wool Development organisation, Uri routine activities including vaccination against Sheep pox continues in jurisdiction of the organisation.

As reported, 24 ailing animals were treated, 449 animals were provided antihelmenthic dosing, 201 dippings were performed, besides 5 government Rams were treated/Verified as part of routine activities.

Daily activities of various field organisations shared with us on 01-09-2020 are as follows:
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Ganderbal:
1)Today various prospective bidders inspected trees that were notified to be auctioned on 07/09/2020 at Block Offices of Kangan and Haripora.
2) Ongoing awareness camps plus registration of intrested Sheep Breeders for KCC continues at panchayat Halqa Hatbura and Block office Kangan.
3) Routine husbandry activities at highland pastures and plains continue in the district.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Anantnag:
1) DSHO Anantnag along with BDO Mattan discussed works that are to be taken up at Rabbit farm, Mattan.
2) VAS Sangam of the organisation attended BLBC meeting
3) Concerned officals checked the incoming livestock from rest of UT at livestock checkpost located at Zig, Lowermunda, Qazigund.
4) Routine husbandry activities at highland pastures and plains continue in the district.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation, Kupwara:
1) Vaccination against Sheep Pox continues at various HLPs of the district.
2) Distribution of sanction letters to the beneficiary breeders were distributed.
3) Telemedicine facility was also provided to various breeders
4)Routine husbandry activities at highland pastures and plains continue in the district.
District Sheep Husbandry Organisation Budgam:
1)The organisation compiled and shared monthly data in a spreadsheet and pi-chart that shall be uploaded with this draft for reference.

1)Officials of the organisation attended Biodiversity management committee meetings at various panchayats of the district.
2) As reported the organisation today treated 33 ailing animals, conducted 291 dewormings in various flocks and provided 26 foot-baths as part of daily activities.
